AFR 40 will be held this year on October 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th in conjunction with the Southeast Arkansas (SEARK) Fair at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. For those of you that may not have heard, the ARA was approached by the SEARK Fair Board in December about the possibility of brining the ARA Finals to Pine Bluff. They made a very good case for us to consider. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time the ARA has been guaranteed an amount of money just to hold this event.

After detailed discussion and careful consideration, the ARA Board unanimously voted to accept the offer from the SEARK Fair Board and hold our Finals in Pine Bluff. After providing the SEARK Fair Board an acceptance letter from the ARA, I was notified last week that the SEARK Fair Board had voted and agreed to allow our Finals to be held in Pine Bluff.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate in contacting your board representative or me so that we can straighten out any misconceptions you may have concerning this matter. I believe I can speak for the ARA Board that we all feel this is a very good opportunity for the future of our Association. I look forward to working with all of you throughout the year and hope to see you all in Pine Bluff for AFR 40.

If you are a NO SHOW at a rodeo and do not send your fees to the rodeo, you will have 15 days to send a doctors excuse, vet release (Barrel Racing Only), or your entry fee to the office or you will be placed on a HOLD LIST and be fined $25.00.
